Flame worked borosilicate dichroic vortex marble. This handmade, one of a kind marble has been created using 3 different colors of dichroic glass on the inside which each has it's own subtle color shift depending on the viewing angle. The back side is fumed with Sterling Silver and 24k gold. The pattern on the inside is achieved in part by applying multiple strips of dichroic sheet glass to a solid clear glass rod. Once the glass is all melted together to make a uniform mass, the glass it twisted gently and tapered to beginning to develop the descending vortex. It is 1.52" in diameter (38.53mm) and signed "J.Cavagnaro '19". This marble will arrive safely packed from my Dagsboro, DE studio.
